15th Anniversary of the Francophone Immigration Network (RIF)

RAFIO, as a proud member of the Francophone Immigration Network (RIF), participated in the celebration of the network’s 15th anniversary. On November 12, 2022, the network celebrated 15 years of service to Francophone immigrant communities in collaboration with community organizations working with Francophone newcomers. The event was filled with warmth, camaraderie, and celebration.

The theme of the celebration focused on achievements in Francophone immigration initiatives. The Francophone Immigration Support Network of Eastern Ontario (RSIFEO) marked its 15th anniversary through a grand gala held on November 12 at the prestigious Excentricité Hall of La Cité College.

Under the theme “15 Years of Achievement: Celebrating Our Successes,” the event brought together more than 235 participants from 31 Francophone community organizations for an evening of recognition, celebration, and collaboration. The gala highlighted the contributions of Francophone stakeholders and celebrated the strong partnership between RSIFEO and its community partners.

Hosted by journalist Claude Andréa Bonny, the gala provided an opportunity to recognize the contribution of numerous Francophone organizations that have supported RSIFEO since its creation and have been key allies in advancing and successfully implementing various Francophone immigration initiatives across Eastern Ontario.

Claude Andréa Bonny was an exceptional master of ceremonies, bringing professionalism, energy, and outstanding humor to the evening. We extend our heartfelt thanks to her, the organizers, and all participants who contributed to the success of this memorable event. You all deserve recognition and appreciation for your dedication and commitment to Francophone immigrant communities.

Conclusion

The celebration of RSIFEO’s 15th anniversary highlighted the significant progress made in supporting Francophone immigrants in Eastern Ontario over the past fifteen years. It also reinforced the importance of collaboration among community organizations, partners, and stakeholders working together to strengthen the integration, inclusion, and success of Francophone newcomers.
