Educational Visit to La Cité

Introduction

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, RAFIO youth from Grades 7 through 12 participated in an educational visit to La Cité as part of an activity designed to introduce them to post-secondary education opportunities.

The purpose of the visit was to encourage young people to pursue their education in French, introduce them to the wide range of post-secondary programs available after high school, and inspire them to reflect on their academic and career aspirations.

Activity Overview

Welcomed warmly by the La Cité team, the participants had the opportunity to explore the college's facilities and discover several of its academic programs.

Throughout the visit, the youth toured various areas of the campus, where they learned about different educational pathways, the skills developed in each program, and the many career opportunities available through a college education.

Activities Conducted

During the visit, participants took part in several educational activities, including:

• Exploring the various academic programs offered at La Cité;

• Touring specialized laboratories and learning facilities;

• Learning about French-language post-secondary education pathways;

• Participating in discussions about career opportunities and employment prospects;

• Taking part in a question-and-answer session, where they were able to ask questions about college studies and future educational opportunities.

The 3D Animation program generated particular interest among the participants. This introduction to a creative and innovative field captured the students' attention, and they greatly enjoyed the demonstration as well as learning about the opportunities offered by the program.

Participation and Feedback

The youth participated enthusiastically throughout the visit. They were curious, engaged, and eager to learn during the presentations and discussions with La Cité representatives.

The experience helped them gain a better understanding of the educational opportunities available after high school and provided a clearer vision of their future academic and professional pathways.
