Activity Procedure

On November 4, the RAFIO team had the pleasure of participating in an activity organized by the Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est (CECCE), as part of a program for newcomers.

This meeting aimed to welcome, inform and support young people and their families who have recently arrived in Canada, in order to facilitate their school, social and community integration.

The activity took place in a warm, inclusive and collaborative atmosphere, promoting exchanges between participants and speakers.

Activities carried out

Several actions and moments of exchange marked this meeting, including:

• A welcome and information session for newcomers;

• Discussions on the challenges and successes related to integration;

• Sharing resources and tools useful for adapting to the new environment;

• Discussions on the needs of young people and families;

• Opportunities for networking and building community ties.

These activities have led to a better understanding of the realities experienced by newcomers and have strengthened community support.

Participation and appreciation

The young people and their families actively participated in the exchanges and demonstrated a great interest in the resources and discussions offered.

The activity was particularly appreciated for the quality of the exchanges, the relevance of the information shared and the warm welcome from the organizers.
