Theme: Board games, socialization, leadership, and youth engagement

Activity Overview

On Friday, June 26, 2026, RAFIO organized a youth activity centered around board games, socialization, and strengthening relationships among young people.

The purpose of the activity was to provide youth with a warm, inclusive, and welcoming space where they could spend time together, have fun, and strengthen their social connections at the beginning of the summer vacation period.

The gathering took place in a joyful, relaxed, and participatory atmosphere. The young participants demonstrated a great deal of enthusiasm, openness, and engagement throughout the activity.

Activities

Several recreational and social activities were offered during the gathering, including:

  • A game of the popular Werewolf game, facilitated by one of the RAFIO youth participants;

  • Socialization and group interaction activities;

  • Opportunities for youth to take on responsibilities in facilitating activities;

  • Discussions about their plans, expectations, and interests for the upcoming weeks of the summer vacation.

Having one of the youth participants facilitate the Werewolf game provided an opportunity to develop their leadership, creativity, communication skills, and teamwork, while also encouraging the engagement and participation of the other youth.

The discussions about the beginning of the summer vacation also allowed participants to share their plans, ideas, and expectations in a safe, warm, and inclusive environment.

Participation and Feedback

The youth actively participated in the activities and demonstrated a high level of enthusiasm. The atmosphere was friendly, relaxed, and inclusive, encouraging interaction and the development of positive relationships among participants.

The youth particularly enjoyed the Werewolf game and appreciated the opportunity to participate in an activity facilitated by one of their peers.

The informal conversations also allowed participants to express themselves freely and share their plans and expectations for the summer period.

Closing of the Activity

The activity concluded in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere. The youth continued to interact and socialize, further strengthening their sense of belonging and their relationships within RAFIO's youth group.

The activity also highlighted the importance of providing young people with opportunities to take initiative and actively contribute to facilitating and organizing group activities.

Conclusion

The Board Game Day provided RAFIO youth with a valuable opportunity to socialize, have fun, and strengthen positive relationships with their peers.

The active participation of the youth, particularly their involvement in facilitating the Werewolf game, demonstrates the importance of encouraging leadership, teamwork, creativity, and self-expression among young people.

RAFIO remains committed to providing welcoming and inclusive spaces where youth can build meaningful connections, develop their skills, and experience positive and enriching activities within their community.
