Event Report

Date of activity: Saturday, August 30, 2025

Location: Calypso Water Park

Organized by: RAFIO

1. Context and Objectives of the Activity

As part of its mission to promote integration, well-being, and personal development among youth, RAFIO organized a recreational outing to Calypso Water Park on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

The main objectives of this activity were to:

  • Provide young participants with a day of relaxation and entertainment

  • Strengthen social bonds and teamwork

  • Create positive memories that support youth development

  • Allow youth to explore new environments and break their daily routine

2. Preparation and Organization

2.1. Consultation with Parents

Prior to planning the activity, RAFIO consulted parents to present the youths’ interest in participating in the Calypso outing.

Since no initial funding was available, parents were asked to contribute $50 per child. Parents agreed and welcomed the initiative, recognizing its importance for the well-being and integration of the youth.

2.2. Parental Consent Forms

A parental consent form was sent to all parents to obtain written authorization for their children’s participation.

All forms were completed, signed, and returned to the RAFIO team.

3. Funding of the Activity

The outing was made possible through:

  • Parents’ contributions: $50 per youth

  • Financial support from CESOC: $500

  • Additional costs covered by RAFIO

This collective effort covered key expenses, including:

  • Online purchase of water park entry tickets

  • Food and beverage supplies for meals

  • Necessary materials for the day

  • Transportation-related logistics

4. Logistics and Meal Preparation

The RAFIO team handled all necessary preparations to ensure a successful activity:

  • Purchase of plates, utensils, napkins, drinks, and snacks

  • Grilling of chicken

  • Frying of donuts

  • Preparation of sandwiches

5. Transportation Arrangements

To facilitate transportation, several parents kindly provided their personal vehicles.

RAFIO supported this effort by providing a $50 fuel allowance per vehicle.

This collaboration ensured safe and efficient transportation for all participants.
